Bridgeport Foundation

The Bridgeport Foundation is a public non-profit 501 (c)(3) founded with the purpose of organizing, promoting, and producing cultural and entertainment events at Bridgeport North Suffolk and supporting the arts for the benefit of people of Suffolk, Virginia. Currently the Foundation hosts a summer Farmers Market, on second and fourth Sundays from May to August, the CAY (Centered Around You) Concert Series, a series of free outdoor concerts held Friday evenings from September to November, and a Holiday Market held in early December.

The Bridgeport Foundation is funded by generous donations provided by the board memebers, through the sale of consessions and activity fees during events, farmers market vendor fees and donations from the public.

The Foundation also sponsors other events in Suffolk, including the Suffolk Plein Air Festival, held each year in September, presented by the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts, Suffolk Art League, Downtown Suffolk, and Suffolk Tourism.
